Halal Food Drop ("we", "our", "us") provides a mobile app that helps users discover halal restaurants.

Information We Collect

  • Account information: email address and profile information when you sign in.
  • Location data: approximate or precise location (when permission is granted) to show nearby restaurants.
  • User content: restaurant submissions, photos, ratings, and reviews you choose to post.
  • Device and diagnostic data: app usage logs and technical diagnostics used to improve reliability.
  • Push notification token: used only to deliver app notifications you opt into.

How We Use Information

We use data to:

  • operate and improve app features;
  • show nearby and relevant restaurant listings;
  • support authentication and account security;
  • moderate community content;
  • communicate updates and service messages.

Sharing of Information

We do not sell personal information. We may share data with service providers that help us run the app, including:

  • Supabase (database, auth, and storage infrastructure);
  • app platform and analytics/diagnostic providers;
  • payment providers if/when sponsorship or purchases are processed.

We may also disclose information if required by law.

Data Retention

We keep data for as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, and resolve disputes. You may request deletion of your account data.

Your Choices

  • You can disable location permission in device settings.
  • You can disable push notifications in device settings.
  • You can delete your account in the app under Profile → Delete Account, which removes your profile, reviews, and saved lists. You may also request deletion by emailing info@halalfooddrop.com.

Children's Privacy

Halal Food Drop is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect information, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

International Users

Your data may be processed in countries other than your own where our service providers operate.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version at this URL with a new "Last updated" date.
